Pool CLOSED for the season

Residents,

The pool is now closed for the season because someone punched a hole in the pool.

Two incidents of vandalism:

(1) Chairs in the pool

(2) Hole in the pool

See photos of this family. If anyone knows who they are please call the community manager, Shannon at (713) 329-7130. They are the ones who threw chairs in the pool.

As stated we have a hole in the pool and we are currently reviewing the video footage to see at what time yesterday this happened.

When our investigation is complete, we will file all information with the authorities.

The pool will have to be inspected by the pool company on Monday but it is in our best interests to close the pool because someone can scrape their foot on the plaster of this hole.

In order for the pool to be repaired, it will need to be partially drained and then patched up. Hopefully this will be all that is needed. If it is cracked it will need to be re-plastered entirely.

Also, please note that the pool has been open every day. We even opened when the attendants went back to school during the week. We will now have to rethink this for next year and years to come. It seems like we need the pool monitored at all times when open again.

Post-Beryl update

Hello Residents,

Due to the ongoing power outage after Hurricane Beryl, please note the following:

  • The pool will be closed until the power returns, and then we will notify the pool company to have them come and clean it. We will notify residents when the pool can reopen.
  • The quarterly board meeting will be postponed and will not take place this Thursday. We will let everyone know once we have rescheduled with Charterwood MUD.

Thank you for your understanding.

Pool opening delay

Good morning residents,

We have experienced a delay in the re-opening of the pool.  On Monday, the pool company found that the pumps were not working and could not get anyone over to check the problem.

On Tuesday it was found that there was a lizard in the pump which did not allow the pump to connect.  The pump is now working but cannot be turned on because the painting has begun and the deck is wet.

The painting and drying of the deck should be completed on Thursday.  On Friday, the pool company will come back and turn the pumps on, but know that it will take 24 hours to have the chemicals balanced and circulated in the pool before opening.

If there are no other setbacks, the pool will open Saturday morning.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Pool Closure after storm

Due to the power outage, the pool is closed until further notice. It becomes a dangerous situation when the pumps are out of service to move the chlorine throughout the pool. When the electricity is restored it will take at least a day to get it cleaned and up and running properly.

Thank you for your patience!

No Pool Closure for next week

The pool closure has been changed because of rain next week. Therefore, pool will remain open. We are checking the weather for the following week. If not done by Memorial Day, we will schedule the deck painting for next year before pool opens. Thanks for your patience.
